Hope for the Weary
I’m worn out waiting for your rescue but I’ve put my hope in your word. (Psalm 119:81 NLT). This honest prayer directs our weary hearts to the only source of lasting hope: the living and active Word of God:
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. (Deut 31:8)
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (Psalm 27:13,14)
Don’t be afraid for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. (Isa 41:10)
Thank you, Lord, you are with me and for me in all your sea-splitting, wonder-working, giant-slaying, water-walking, sun-stopping, obstacle-demolishing, mountain-moving, death-defying power and love at all times.
