Get to Know Kelly!
I’m a wife, mom, Bible teacher, speaker, author, occasional blogger, and podcaster with a unique story enriched by our four children, three of whom have special needs. My husband, Lee and I, raised them in the constantly challenging world of Air Force military life. Our story evolves into an unexpected journey of chronic illnesses, medical treatments and ongoing caregiving.
I am intimately familiar with the ache of unanswered prayers and experienced in the anguish of wrestling with the Lord through the weariness of long waits. If this is your story, I’m deeply and truly sorry, but I pray the Lord will encourage and comfort you through His Word, His presence and renew your hope through resources available here.
My family’s deepest comfort is the unshakable hope we have through faith in Jesus Christ—through Jesus and Him alone, we have hope that holds us even when life shakes us.
More About Kelly!
I was terrified when God first called me to write 3 talks for a women’s retreat. My prayer sounded a bit like Moses’ arguments at the burning bush: “send someone else Lord.” It’s embarrassing to admit how fear made food taste like cardboard for months leading up to the event. Eventually (not fast enough for me), God’s gentle whisper of peace calmed my anxious heart, “Just tell them what I’ve done, Kelly.” He highlighted Psalm 145: “… Lord, your greatness is unsearchable… [I’ll] speak of the might of your awesome deeds.”
Decades later (2010), He pushed me out of my comfort zone once again when He “insisted” I film my story for the Courageous Faith Bible study. I wish I could say I didn’t argue this time, but stepping over fear and learning to “trust in the Lord with all my heart” (Prov 3:5) has involved a steep learning curve. As you listen to our family story here, my prayer is that you’d be encouraged to believe in a fresh, new way that our unfailing God is with you and for you in all His love and power in your own story.

Speak at your event?
I’d love to speak at your next women’s event. Check out my Seminar Topics and contact me for more information.
On a very important side note: This is my favorite picture of my favorite guy. It was taken while we were both serving in ministry at a church in CO. Currently we live in AZ where Lee continues to teach advanced piloting skills to professional pilots. He’s my best friend, biggest cheerleader, ministry partner, and (he likes to add) my travel agent.
We continue to engage with the Lord in our unresolved story and are sustained by God’s goodness and ongoing expressions of His kindness and love. We’d consider it a gift to have you join us in praying for our family as God leads. My favorite prayer is that God would unleash His Possible across the landscape of our impossible.
